In-Store: Appliqué Heart Pillow

Join us to learn all you need to know about Appliqué! This beginner friendly course will help you learn the “rules” or “steps” to appliquéing shapes onto a project.

In this class, we’ll be appliquéing hearts in different sizes onto a fun background to create a Pillow. You'll learn the rag method and the tradition applique method to adding shapes to your projects.

Class: Friday February 6th ~ 10-2pm

We provide:

• Fusible Fleece
• heat n bond
• Pattern

You bring:

• 1 piece of Background fabric that measures 19X19" (if you want the backing of your pillow to be the same colour, you'll need more fabric for the back)
• Scrap fabrics in any colour(s) you'd like to make your hearts out of. (Sample has red, pinks, oranges and white)
• Thread to sew on your applique pieces ( coordinating thread or contrasting thread work well, as well as variegated)
• Paper Scissors and Fabric Scissors are going to be used also

NOTE: We will have machines available for this class or you may bring your own machine. Please bring your walking foot and/or your zigzag foot for appliquéing if you bring your own machine.
