Learn how to make a Dresden Plate Block with us!

In this class, we'll use your scrap fabric to make a Dresden Plate that we applique onto a background fabric. This block can be used to make a larger quilt later or you can make the block into a pillow.

Class: Thursday February 27th - 12:30pm - 5pm

Note: we will be building the Dresden block in class, sewing everything together and you can choose to sew your block into a pillow or quilt later on at home.

You bring:

  • 12 different pieces of scrap fabric in any colours you'd like. Scrap pieces for the Dresden should measure at least 5.5" x 7" or bigger
  • 1 - 7" square to be used as the center of your Dresden flower
  • matching/coordinating thread to piece everything together and top stitch all around the Dresden when appliquéing
  • 1/2 yard of heat and bond lite

We Provide:

  • 1 - 21” x 21” piece of fabric in a solid colour of your choice
  • Pattern and templates to make the Dresden plate block

NOTE: You may use our machines upstairs or bring your own for this class. Your 1/4 inch foot is needed for piecing and your regular A foot or Craft F foot for applique.
