In-Store ~ Modern Inprov Tree Block

Join us In-Store to continue the fun of Prepping for Christmas Early!

In this class we will be learning to cut out trees with our heart with improv cutting. We'll be learning the technique on cutting these super cute trees. You'll have time in class to make a few or many (depending on how fast you work) tree blocks. You can decide if you'd like to make a pillow, table runner or full quilt later on at home.

Class:  Thursday January 29th from 10am - 1pm

We provide:

• The pattern is provided for the tree blocks
• sewing machine and irons are available at no cost

You bring: 

• scrap fabrics in fun colours or christmas prints
• thread to sew your fabrics together
• feel free to bring fat quarters or scraps to cut in class.
• think about an overall colour scheme that you'd like and bring those fabrics with you

The fabric requirements for each pair of Christmas tree quilt blocks are:

• Two squares 8 ½" x 8 ½"
• Two strips 2" x 8 ½"
• Two brown pieces 1 ½" x 2"

I recommend choosing two fabrics with a lot of contrast (color and scale) so that your trees will really pop.
