Here’s the hard truth about free motion quilting. You won’t be good right away. But, you’ll never be good if you don’t start and keep practicing.

So, to help you on this journey, I’ve designed a series of projects & kits.We’ll start small and build our skills. Each project is designed to be a little more challenging than the previous until we have stitched our way to a queen sized quilt!

The best part,NO PIECING.

All of the fabrics in your kits are “cheater prints” designed to look as though they’ve already been pieced.So all you need to do is follow along the video instructions and practice your free motion quilting.

So, start this journey with me and fall in love with free motion quilting.

Class 1 - Table Runner Kit (October 2nd, 7pm)

In this beginner class we’re learning to meander while making a table runner. We’ll start with our cheater print and learn how to control our fabric without the feed dogs.

Included in your kit: 18 x 36" Cheater print,Batting,Backing,Binding,Thread

You’ll need:Free motion quilting foot

Class 2 - Pillow Cover (November 6th, 7pm)

In this confident beginners class we’re learning to free motion quilt using rulers. We’ll make this Christmas Pillow cover while using the ruler & ruler foot on our machine to help accentuate those curves.

Included in your kit:20 x 20" Cheater print,Batting,Backing,Thread

You’ll need: Free motion foot, Ruler Foot and 1/4" Thick quilting ruler with a curve

Class 3- Wall Hanging (February 5th, 7pm)

While making this wall hanging we’ll learn to free motion corner stones, borders and how to fill negative space.We’ll use a mix of free motion and free motion with rulers in this class.

Included in your kit:Cheater Print(four blocks),Batting, Backing, Thread

You’ll need: a Free motion quilting & ruler foot, a straight/curved Quilting Ruler.Use what you have, or one can be purchased separately.

Class 4 - Quilt (April 7th, 7pm)

We’re making a queen sized quilt completely free motion quilted by you.

In this class we’ll use a mix of rulers and free motion. We’ll concentrate on creating secondary patterns to create a fully cohesive quilt. When the quilting compliments the piecing it’s magic.
